Return Policy
Thank you for shopping with White Pine Books. If you need to return an item, please read the policy below for eligibility and instructions.
Eligible Items
New, unused books and products in original condition are eligible for return within 30 days of delivery.
Items purchased as damaged or final sale (including discounted clearance, digital products, gift cards, and select special-order or signed items) are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Returns and Refunds
To qualify for a refund, items must be returned in the same condition received, with all original packaging and any included materials (dust jackets, inserts, shrink wrap if applicable).
Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment after we inspect the returned item. Allow up to 10 business days for the refund to post to your account.
If the original payment method is unavailable, store credit will be issued.
Return Window and Process
Standard return window: 30 days from the date your order was delivered.
To start a return, contact our Customer Service team with your order number and reason for return. We will provide return authorization and instructions.
Returns must be shipped within 7 days of receiving return authorization.
Return Shipping and Fees
If the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective, or damaged on arrival), White Pine Books will cover return shipping costs.
For buyer-initiated returns (change of mind, incorrect size/edition ordered, etc.), the customer is responsible for return shipping unless otherwise specified. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing insurance for higher-value items. White Pine Books is not responsible for returns lost in transit without tracking.
Exchanges
If you need to exchange an item for a different edition or replacement, contact Customer Service. Exchanges are subject to product availability and may require placing a new order.
Damaged or Defective Items
Inspect your order upon receipt. Report damaged or defective items to Customer Service within 7 days of delivery and include photos of the damage and packaging when possible.
We will arrange a replacement or refund after verifying the damage/defect.
Privacy and Security
Personal information provided during a return request is used only to process the return and refund and is handled in accordance with our privacy practices.
